Doctor's Office

How do you feel about Doctor's Offices.....As I get older, and its getting there a bit too quickly, I find myself in the doctor's office quite often.  I have had my share of hospitals and now there are many things that are creeping up on me that I have to look know, aching this and aching that.

Well, I wont go into my illnesses, that is not what this blog is about.  The other day I was sitting in the doctor's office and jotted down a note to blog about how people react in them.  I took the time to check out my fellow patients and was amazed that everyone reacts differently.

Now - me - I take this long period of time of waiting to read....I am an avid reader and feel that this time is perfect for me and my Kindle......I observed there were those who got up every 20 minutes to ask the receptionist "how long"  (that's a fav of hubby).....others were content to watch the tv they so nicely supplied in the area.

Others actually left the room - to where? - and came back an hour later....and then there were the phoners.....(no such word).....they took this time to talk, and talk, and talk....very annoying to us readers.....I silence my phone.....and dont want to hear from anyone.....

So, tell do you spend that long, long time you spend in the doctor's office waiting to be seen for your appointment?

  1. I have quite a few serious medical condition so I'm always at the doctor's too. I kill time by reading, simply chatting with my husband (he always goes with me) or crocheting/knitting. But sometimes, even with reading or crafts to resort to...the wait still drives me nuts! Lol.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I love your comments and always look forward to them! Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Yes, hubby and I always go fact, he is up for a procedure in a few weeks, so another visit..this time in the this what getting old is about? lol Enough with the doctors...and yes, it drives us nuts...what do they do..see how long we can wait? Sometimes we are the first ones in the office and we still wait...why have a 9 am appointment if you have to wait until 10 am? anyway, stay well and have a great weekend....will stop by your blog again real soon..

  3. Lol ~ I never go to the doctors! ;) We completely overhauled our lives several years back (organic, vegan, etc.) and all health problems disappeared. I certainly don't miss the appointments, there were always so many other things I'd rather have been doing. When I was there however, I ALWAYS brought a good book! ;)
