My doctor tells me.....

that my condition needs for me to walk more.  Of course my problem is my legs and walking actually gives me so much pain, even the medicine I take does not help.  Standing long periods of time also hurts and when getting up after sitting a long time - hurts.  So what is the answer.  Medication helps somewhat although there are nasty side effects....

So I get through each day slowly - take my medicine - and try a little bit of each.  A little sitting - getting up to walk around from time to time - a little walking, stopping to rest here and there.  I am fighting my disease because wallowing in self pity just isnt me.

I constantly am surfing the internet for more information and recently came along an article that said while we must move, we certainly do not have to join a runner's club. (yeah, like that is going to happen)....they suggested an alternate way of moving.....


and since it is for beginners (that's me) I thought I might try it.  I pass a local park on the weekends where there are several people - some older than I am.....doing Tai Chi....it doesnt require anything and since they move slowly, I thought it might just be for me.....Will let you know how it works out....:)
